Barbara has had a link with the work here for nearly 20 years, and Harold visited again this year.For those not so familiar with Albania; the city of Lezha - the castle and radio hillThe city of Lezha - centre area and old church (Saint Nicholas Church)The city of Lezha - the new (2019) church building of LAJMI I MIRE (Good News) church - base for Harold and his involvementThe centre for the camp - EDEN PARK, a special centre for conference and camp activitiesThe centre for the camp - a tower to climb!The centre for the camp - Eden Park and its poolThis was the sky Monday at 6.30pm - pitch black as a storm went overThis was the same sky as the lightning flashed. The storm lasted an hour and a halfThe centre for the camp - there was group worship each morning and eveningA wide range of songs and prayers each day. Harold was able to play piano with the musiciansThis is Gusti - leader of one of the churches, and a chief organiserSome of the Bible teaching was led by a visiting American pastor (and translated by Gusti)This is Endri, leader of another of the churches with young people at the campThis is Mondi, pastor of Lajmi I Mire in Lezha, and the main link with Barbara and HaroldAside from the main preaching and worship, there were bible study groups looking at 2 TimothyHarold had a chance to lead two devotion sessionsThis was where Harold got to practise some Albanian!Harold could manage some Albanian but also had help from a translatorOther group activity was more light-hearted and there were various competitionsHere there was a Bible quizThis was something else!The fun activities included trying the climbing wall (not for Harold!)The swimming pool was the focus for early afternoon and the hottest part of the dayThe final evening had a time of quiet prayer, meditation and a chance to reflect. It was moving to see the young people take it so seriouslyThe group of 2024 at Eden Park centre, for camp IA VLEN!
