Churches Together in Hitchin have arranged for weekly Lent prayers on Zoom, similar to those during the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity in January. Gatherings will be every Wednesday from February 24th until March 31st, commencing at 6pm and lasting about 15 minutes. Like last time, sessions will be led by ministers and members of different churches.
There will be a theme each week, linked with the ones being followed in the CTiH Lent Bible study groups, namely the words of Jesus from the Cross:
24th February - Father forgive them
3rd March - I am thirsty 10th March - Today you will be with me in Paradise
17th March - Here is your son, here is your mother 24th March - My God, why have you forsaken me?
31st March - Father into your hands I commend my spirit
